  • MY STORY
  • I’ve always been pretty fit and healthy, enjoying an active lifestyle of running, swimming, bike riding, table tennis, soccer and golf. I was also fortunate enough to be a ballboy at the Australian Open in Melbourne, looking after such stars as Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras and Goran Ivanisevic.
  • One night I was on centre court for a Pat Rafter match, who was playing some unknown French guy. At one stage he hit a ball into the net and smashed the ball as high as the roof on Rod Laver Arena. Of course it was on my side so I ran out and looked up into the night sky.
  • All I could see was pitch black. Then, all of a sudden a little dot appeared above, and it got bigger, and bigger, then I bent down and took the catch! The packed crowd went nuts! And it was the biggest cheer all night because Pat lost in straight sets! Apparently Bruce McAvaney said it was it the best cricket catch he'd ever seen but sadly there is no vision to back this up. haha
  • However, there was a time when I wasn't so healthy. Back in 2007 I was 12kgs overweight, stressed out from work, low in energy and just felt terrible. This was a result of 6 months of over indulging, including a daily diet of 2 white bread scrolls from the bakery, a large Boost juice, 2 large V energy drinks and 2 Subway chicken fillets with double bacon and cheese on herb n cheese bread.
  • One night I remember eating until I couldn't move at Hog's Breathe. I smashed a mega cut steak with extra curly fries, sauce and no salad. Somehow I managed to squeeze in dessert  as well. To my girlfriend at the time and I it was just a big joke. We nicked named each other "chubbers", unaware of how we were both spiraling out of control. Something had to change......
  • So in March 2007, I  left my job at Subway and began my Personal Training course. The next 12 weeks were truly life changing. I learned all about effective exercise and nutrition and lost the 12 kgs. Being immersed daily in health and fitness I became obsessed. I began exercising 1-2 hours per day, riding to my course and discovering the magic of strength training.
  • I truly can't remember eating one thing unhealthy in that whole time. I started reading mind-set books then became really positive and felt a million dollars every day. I was me again.
  • I've never forgotten how bad I felt back then. Now 10 years on, I’ve learnt so much more about nutrition, exercise and recovery as a Precision Nutrition Pro Coach and Certified Online Trainer, so I can help you better than ever achieve your goals and become the best version of yourself.

I've doubled the length of my plank to 5 minutes, improved my run around New Farm Park by 3o seconds, my 1km by over a minute and managed a 9 minute squat hold!

I love training outside and it's more motivating to together in a group. Chris is very easy to get along with which helps. I loved my time so far and I really enjoy all the different ball games. I'm aiming to continue the training in 2019, add some of my own workouts and focus more on my nutrition.

My advice is to just come along and give it a go. He makes it fun and you forget you're actually exercising."
