Saturday December 3rd was our annual Supreme Awards Day. This year, the team took on the challenge of New Farm Parkrun followed by a well deserved breakfast at Mary Mae’s on the River.
Magnificent Mel, Mary Consistent Claire, Rapid Fire Rosie, Heroic Henry and Magic Mark all completed the run, with Masterful Michael volunteering his service. We’ve had some wonderful again achievements again this year including Magic Mark running the Gold Coast Marathon, Mary Consistent Claire coming back from a long illness to compete in Water Polo at the Pan Pacific Masters Games as well as Marvellous Margot and Amazing Arjen being the only ones from their tour bus to climb to the top of the Great Pyramid on their trip to Egypt at age 71.
Now that’s Supreme Fitness!
This year we had three award winners, with Heroic Heroic Henry taking out both the Most Improved and Most Consistent.
Last year, Heroic Henry could barely manage a Plank and Pushup. Now after 91 classes this year, he completed a 4 Day Scenic Rim Hike, a 5min Plank, 40 Pushups in a Minute and claimed the Burpees Minute Challenge with 21.
Masterful Michael has also been a model of consistency, running Parkrun and doing our Tuesday Strength class most weeks. He also completed a month long Pushups for Charity Challenge in July, 1.26min Lap of Death and lost 5kgs.
But our Supreme Star of Year award had to go to Magnificent Mel. After reaching 500 sessions, Mel won our 6 Week Challenge, completed the Raw Obstacle Course and scored a personal best time for the Gabba Stomp. She also took out our Plank and Squat Hold Exercise Challenges lasting over 6 mins for both. A well deserved winner no doubt.
Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone who made it such a fun morning.
